Have Stories Will Travel

Getting children to love books and reading has been my lifelong passion and joy. For many years, I was a school librarian and I enjoyed it tremendously. I especially enjoyed seeing the "spark" that shows children have enjoyed the book or story that has just been shared with them. The rapt attention that lets you know they're hanging on to every word and the cries of: "Don't stop NOW -- can't you read just a little more?" or "This is the best part -- please don't quit!" I am firmly convinced that each and every child can and should become a lifelong lover of books and reading, and I believe there is a book or story out there that can be a catalyst to make it happen. I know what materials captivate childrens' imaginations and inspire them to READ -- the one's they'll love and remember as much as I love sharing them.

The programs I present are part book talk, part storytelling along with an abundance of visual aids, games, and other activities. They are all fun, educational, and exciting.
